19.yüzyılın en önemli muhafazakâr ressamı Ingres, figürünü çok iyi aydınlatıp, mükemmel bir şekilde gerçeğe benzetmiştir. Boyun gibi yerler pek anato-miye uymasa da kıvrımlar çok iyi resmedilmiştir.
